Bass Alumni Golf Tournament

The Bass Alumni Golf Tournament will be held at “Shadow Ridge Golf Club” on
Friday, March 29th. Shadow Ridge Golf Club is located four miles west of I-59 and
Hardy Street. Directional signs will be placed on the north side of Hwy 98 and
Jackson Street.
Shadow Ridge Golf Club is one of the three courses in the state of Mississippi that
host a professional golf tournament annually. Plus, they are the yearly host for the
Adams Tight Lies and Sprint PCS Tournament. Shadow Ridge Golf Tournament was
nominated as one of the best 100 new courses in the country and has been given a
rating of 4.6 out of a total of 5 by Golf Magazine.
This year’s tournament is a “Four Man Scramble” format with an entry fee of $80
per person. Your entry fee includes green fee, cart, driving range balls, putting
green, one mulligan, Grab Bag, breakfast and lunch. During the tournament our
Bass group [mostly seniors] will be providing free water, energy bars, peanuts and
crackers.
A shotgun start has been set for 9 a.m. FLAT SCREEN TELEVISIONS will be given to
the 1 st. and 2 nd. Place teams. TABLETS will be given to the 3 rd. place team.
Prizes [not determined yet] will be given to the two longest drive holes and the
two closest to the pin holes.
As in the past, we are inviting golfers outside of the alumni family. This has proven
to be a great environment to talk about our wonderful school. Please help spread
the word–especially those alumni in the Hattiesburg, Laurel, McComb, Jackson and
Biloxi areas.
To register your individual or team spot, you should contact Allan Kea at
256-970-9002 or email at allankea1@aol.com. This is extremely important! We
have to give a report to Shadow Ridge Golf Club an approximate number of golfers
that will play in the tournament.

SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY
7 a.m.Breakfast [until lunch time] – Variety of hot and cold beverages
Putting green opens
Driving range opens
9 a.m.Honorary first tee drive [a very special alumni] you don’t want to miss
Tournament starts immediately following first tee drive
1 p.m.Lunch [after tournament] – Cold Beverages
Pizza
[vegetarian, cheese, mushroom and hamburger], Pimiento cheese
sandwiches, Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, Chips and Fruit
2 p.m.Awards ceremony for the tournament winners

*Hole sponsors includes a sign on designated hole. All sponsors will receive
recognition on program information packet, during the activities and awards
ceremony after the tournament and at the Saturday night business meeting.
DONATIONS: Any amount. We realize that everyone can’t afford to be a hole or
tournament sponsor. To date we have raised $4,470. Majority of the money raised
has come from alumni that pledged between $25 and $100. Call or email me your

Check back often to see if we have added your graduation year. If you have one you would like to have put at the top of the pile, send us a note and let us know.

A note about the files. They are very large (approximately 100 MB each) and they are in PDF format. You will have to have a PDF reader installed on your computer. One can be downloaded from Adobe.
